MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
● Active English proficiency: IELTS 6.0 or equivalent.
● Undergraduate degree in a related field.
● Minimum of 2 years experience in home ownership loan division in banking or finance.
DESIRED SKILLS:
● Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in credit analysis, loan processing, or the Australian mortgage industry.
● Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
● Experience with Australian mortgage CRMs (e.g., Salestrekker, Mercury Nexus) and ApplyOnline.
● Strong understanding of Australian lending policies and compliance requirements.
● Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
● Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
● High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
● Ability to manage complex files, meet deadlines, and work autonomously.
● Tech-savvy, adaptable, and process-driven.
● Highly organized, proactive, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Credit Analyst is responsible for, including but not limited to, the following:
● Assess clients' financial positions and borrowing capacity by reviewing income, liabilities, assets, credit history, and supporting documentation.
● Analyze loan applications and determine suitable lending strategies based on lender policies and client objectives.
● Identify credit risks, policy exceptions, and potential issues that may impact loan approval, and recommend appropriate solutions.
● Research and compare lender products, policies, and servicing calculators to identify the most suitable lending options.
● Prepare comprehensive credit assessments and loan recommendations for broker review.
● Ensure all loan applications comply with lender requirements, regulatory obligations, and internal policies.
● Verify the accuracy and completeness of client documentation prior to submission.
● Liaise with brokers, loan processors, lenders, and clients to obtain additional information and resolve credit-related queries.
● Provide guidance to brokers and processing staff on lender policy interpretation and complex lending scenarios.
● Maintain accurate records, credit notes, and supporting documentation within the CRM and document management systems.
● Stay up to date with lender policy changes, industry regulations, and market developments affecting residential lending.
● Assist in improving credit assessment processes, documentation standards, and operational efficiency.
● Perform other duties as reasonably assigned that are consistent with the role.
