MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
● Active English proficiency: IELTS 5.5 or equivalent.
● Undergraduate degree.
● Digital native.
DESIRED SKILLS:
● Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in loan settlements, mortgage administration, or the Australian mortgage industry
● Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
● Experience with Australian mortgage CRMs (e.g., Salestrekker, Mercury Nexus) and ApplyOnline.
● Strong understanding of Australian lending policies and compliance requirements.
● Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
● Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
● High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
● Ability to manage complex files, meet deadlines, and work autonomously.
● Tech-savvy, adaptable, and process-driven.
● Highly organized, proactive, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Settlement Officer is responsible for, including but not limited to, the following:
● Manage loan files from formal approval through to settlement, ensuring all required conditions are satisfied within agreed timeframes.
● Coordinate with lenders, brokers, clients, solicitors, conveyancers, and other stakeholders to facilitate a seamless settlement process.
● Monitor outstanding settlement conditions and proactively follow up to ensure timely completion.
● Prepare, review, and verify settlement documentation for accuracy and completeness.
● Schedule and confirm settlement dates with all relevant parties.
● Track loan progress and provide regular updates to brokers and clients throughout the settlement process.
● Liaise with lenders to resolve settlement-related issues, documentation discrepancies, or delays.
● Ensure all compliance, lender, and internal requirements are met prior to settlement.
● Maintain accurate and up-to-date records within the CRM and document management systems.
● Conduct post-settlement administrative tasks, including confirming settlement completion,
updating internal records, and filing documentation.
● Respond promptly to settlement enquiries from clients, brokers, and external stakeholders.
● Identify process improvement opportunities to enhance settlement efficiency and client experience.
● Perform other duties as reasonably assigned that are consistent with the role.
